Border Collie Puppies - Growing Up and Socialization

The puppies will be born and raised in the house to get accustomed to various sounds and be introduced to a range of toys and objects. They will be taken outside (to the yard) to familiarize themselves with the outside world, get used to different noises, and meet a variety of animals and people to ensure proper socialization and habituation.

During their time at the Hyper Paw kennel, they will be introduced to various obstacles designed to aid them in their future lives, whether as working dogs or family pets. These include crossing mini agility obstacles, navigating puppy courses, ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) exercises, and similar activities.

The puppies will go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed multiple times, with health documentation, an FCI pedigree, a contract, and a breeder's guarantee. Each puppy will also come with a "puppy pack" (toy, leash, collar, treats, etc.) to assist with the first few days in their new home.

We expect future owners to engage in at least recreational mental and physical activities with their dogs, such as tricks, agility, dog dancing, flyball, S.A.R., obedience, and more, ensuring the dogs are full-fledged members of the family. Owners are required to stay in touch with us even after the puppy leaves, so we can monitor its further development. They will also have our 24-hour support and answers to any questions they may have.

Just 5 days before Christmas, Maja gave birth to 5 puppies – 3 males and 2 females. The whelping went perfectly, and Maja is an excellent mother who takes great care of her puppies.

What Does This Mean?

A co-owner will receive the most promising puppy from the litter at a reduced price. The puppy (and later adult dog) will live with you (the co-owner) for its entire life as if it weren’t in co-ownership. We expect the co-owner to actively engage with the dog (as the owner would) and to make the dog an irreplaceable member of the family. The only difference is that the dog will be exhibited at shows a few times, in agreement with us (the co-owner can also handle the dog at shows, if agreed).

If the co-owned dog is a female, she will be required to have one or two litters during her lifetime at our kennel, with a sire chosen by mutual agreement (breeding outside the Hyper Paw kennel is not allowed). The timing of the litters will be coordinated with the co-owner. If the dog is a male, he will have a few matings in his lifetime, also in agreement with us. The costs of raising the litter, shows, and health testing will be covered by the Hyper Paw kennel.

If, for any reason, the dog does not develop in the direction we envisioned and is not suitable for breeding (due to appearance, health, or temperament), full ownership will be transferred to the co-owner, and the dog will continue its life as a family pet.

We prefer that co-owned dogs live as close to us as possible (in the Osijek area), so we can monitor their development and coordinate show participation and litters. However, feel free to contact us if you are interested but not in the immediate vicinity.

The reason for co-ownership is that we believe every dog deserves a happy and fulfilling life, and we only keep as many dogs as we have time to dedicate to. We think this is a far better option than having too many dogs without being able to devote enough time to them. Our dogs actively train in agility, dog dancing, obedience, S.A.R., tricks, and more.

This is the kind of life we want for their offspring as well, while striving to breed the best and highest-quality puppies.
